Does anyone know if a crank from any other Mazda car is a direct swap for the Miata 1.6 crank? What about the Festive motor?
I have a spare engine in my garage that I'd like to rebuild with a long nose crank. I really hate to miss the majority of another season due to a trashed engine and no spare.

The B6 can be found in Festivas and 323's and maybe even some base model MX3s. You might even be able to use the B6T crank from the 88-89 323 GTX. (hatch or sedan)

Do you know if the cranks from all B6 series engines have the short nose crank?

As far as I know, ALL B6's have the short nose crank.
call up the guys at OPM and ask....they're all about Spec Miata.

ATTENTION:...
Late 92 miatas and Capris went to a revised crank. It was at that point that all the B series cranks changed. Unfortunately, my sources cant tell me what the visual difference is without looking at both next to each other. But hopefully this does help.

Sweet. that's what I was kind of hoping. There are some Capris at the local junker from time to time, so I'll keep an eye out for them.
