Correct. The vents are there because rally rules say you must either run with the windows up or have window nets. I run with the windows up to keep dust out AND window nets...cuz I don't really relish the idea of my head taking a vacation from my body in a roll. It gets very hot in there in your fire suit. The trans. tunnel is too hot to touch. They are not filtered, but are above most of the dust. I have put open cell foam with some baby oil on it (old motocross goggle trick) in there at particularly dusty races, but it usually isn't too much of a problem.

Can't make the ice race...car will be on the dyno again this weekend. I do plan on doing the kart race in Indy.
I have been karting at the indoor center here in Deetroit quite a bit. Good fun. Makes for a heathier night out than going to the bar. (Yes, I do look like a monkey humping a football...thanks for asking). I am on a training regimen and losing weight, but, yes, I am a large fellow.
Jim, you missed running with Steve, Tim, and my crew at the karting center out in Anaheim last year. Maybe we can do it this year.

I was refering the height rather than girth. I have too much girth to ever give you a hard time.
